Recently, CS&S and Siemens signed the contract for applying CS&S FAS system in Beijing-Tianjin City High-speed Railway. The FAS system is the latest version of railway telecommunication software that developed by CS&S Telecommunication Department.
The total length of Beijing-Tianjin City High-speed Railway is 115 km, it is the first special high standard railway passenger transport line in China; which speed reaches 350 km per hour. This is the first project approved by the State Council in "Intermediate Long-term Railway Program” of China.
After construction, when the transport service started, the whole journey from Beijing to Tianjin only spends 30 minutes. This railroad will be operated in June 2008 before Beijing Olympic Games.
